Coming to Camp

We are excited to be back in action this summer welcoming children back to Venture Camps and we have a jam packed schedule planned!

Each day children will rotate between our themes, with activities including NERF, Ninja Warrior, Wet Wild & Wacky, Archery and Wacky Racers. For the full week campers and the 3-day campers we also have the Inflatable Pirate ship anchoring down for a day, allowing groups to do fun activities on this also.

This page is here to give insight into how things will work each week in relation to signing in and signing out; making it easy for everyone to drop off smoothly and pick up swiftly.

Folkestone (Sandgate Primary)

Signing in

You are welcome to sign in your children from 8:30am – 9:10am each day. Sign in will take place in two places.

For full week campers, you will sign in through the main gates (next to Greenfields Nursery). Following sign in you will place your bags in the junior hall as usual and join your group and coach up on the main field, left of the sheds.

In the unlikely (wait, it’s England.. so maybe likely) event of wet weather, you will remain in the small hall and begin activities in there.

For 3 day/2day campers you will sign in down the side car park (back gate entrance). Depending on the age group you are in, you will place your bags either under the shelter near the school building or under the hut on the field and then join your group on the main field.

In wet weather, one group will be directed into the main hall, and one group will begin their day in a classroom.

Each child will receive a colour band to help them and us know which bubble they are in.

At sign in, please come with your consent form already printed and completed. Here’s a link to print off: Consent form .

You can then simply hand to the coach and away you go 🙂 You will only need to do one consent form for the whole summer, so if you do come several times there is no need to do again unless the details have changed. You are welcome to walk into the school on the first day to help your children know where to go. We ask parents to respect others in regards to social distancing. We will ask children to sanitise their hands before entering camp also.

To avoid the sharing of pens, we will ask you your name at sign in (so we have record of who is dropping your child off). We will ask who is collecting and we will register the time of arrival.

Signing out

You will sign out in the same place you signed in. Again a coach will ask you who you are collecting, your name and mark the time. You will then be asked to walk on to the playground where you can collect your children. We will allow two parents in at a time per group/bubble and ask other parents to wait patiently as we do pick up. Pick up begins at 3:50pm

Canterbury (The Langton)

You are welcome to sign in your children from 8:30am – 9:10am each day. Sign in will take place at the various entrances to the 4G pitch. We will clearly mark the tables with either a full week camper, 3 day or 2 day and the age group they are in, making it easy for parents to know which table they sign in at.

Following sign in, you will be directed to leave your bags in a shade spot and join your group either on the 4G or in the hall, in their bubble with their coach.

In the event of wet weather, two bubbles will go into the hall, one either side and one group will be directed to the small hall in the main building.

Kings Hill/West Malling

You are welcome to sign in your children from 8:30am – 9:10am each day. Sign in will take place at the main entrance or the entrance of the hall. One group will be asked to go through to the playground to start their day and the other group will start in the main hall.

There is only 2 bubbles at Kings Hill for the 2 3-day camps we have running this summer.

In the event of wet weather, both bubbles will enter the hall, via two different doors. The hall will be divided into two clearly separating the two groups. We will also have classrooms available for wet weather.

Each child will receive a colour band to help them and us know which bubble they are in.
